A gym sells two things: results and atmosphere. Print and signage do more of the second than most owners expect — the walls, the branding, the merch your members carry out the door, and the way the space photographs are a large part of why people join and why they post about it.
Walls and atmosphere
This is where the money goes furthest. A blank gym wall is wasted space; a printed one is what ends up in every member's phone.
- Removable fabric wall murals — no adhesive residue, repositionable, good for leased premises where you may need to hand the space back as-found.
- Permanent vinyl with matt laminate for high-traffic walls that need to survive knocks and cleaning. Matt finish avoids glare in photos and under gym lighting.
- Removable vinyl for motivational graphics and zone branding you'll want to change.
- Canvas prints for reception and consultation rooms.
Shopfront and street presence
- One-way vision film — particularly useful for gyms: passers-by see your branding, members training inside get privacy, which is a genuine objection for a lot of new joiners.
- Long-term window vinyl for hours, class timetables and logos.
- Insertable A-frames for joining offers and class promotions on the footpath.
Wayfinding and zones
- Rigid signs for change rooms, studios, weights areas and reception.
- Cut vinyl for zone lettering, floor markings and equipment labelling.
- Notice signs for gym etiquette, re-rack your weights, chalk rules and conditions of entry.
Safety and compliance
- Emergency and first aid signage — defibrillator location in particular should be visible from anywhere on the floor.
- Fire equipment signs and mandatory signage.
- Wet floor stands for showers, change rooms and cleaning.
Merchandise and member kit — the print side
Branded gear is the rare marketing spend members will pay you for.
- Apparel — tees, singlets and hoodies for staff, PTs and retail.
- Drinkware — bottles and shakers, which get carried into every other gym and office your members visit.
- Gym bags and headwear.
- Stickers for water bottles and drink flasks — cheap, and members apply them themselves.
Events, challenges and open days
- Pull-up banners for sign-up desks and expos.
- PVC banners for challenge leaderboards and outdoor events, or mesh if they're going on fencing.
- Business cards for personal trainers.
